Single-Origin Coffee With a Sense of Place
Choose the cup by where it comes from, how it is roasted, and the notes you want to meet in the first pour.
Choose your origin
More than a place name
Give the coffee room to tell its own story.
Single-origin coffee gives you a clear way to choose beyond light, medium, or dark. Each coffee starts in a particular growing region with its own harvest, processing, and character. Rhythm Industry Records Coffee Bar carries coffees from Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Peru, Sumatra, and other origins, so there is room to follow the notes you like or take a new route through the coffee shelf.
Some cups lean bright and fruit-forward. Others bring cocoa, caramel, honey, brown sugar, or a syrupy, deeper body. You do not need a tasting-course vocabulary to enjoy the difference. The details simply give you a better starting point: choose a profile that sounds right, brew it the way you normally do, and see which origin you want to return to.
Choose your origin
Six places to start the next pour.
From smooth cocoa notes to floral fruit and deeper dark chocolate, each bag gives the routine a different voice.
An easy first direction
Start balanced, then move outward.
Colombia is a dependable first single origin when you want a medium-roast cup with dried orange, berry, and chocolate notes. It comes from smallholder farmers in Medellin, Antioquia and is fully washed, giving it a profile that has both brightness and an easy chocolate finish.
Costa Rica stays in the medium-roast lane but heads somewhere sweeter, with apple, raisin, and honey. The coffee comes from micro farms in Alajuela and is eco-pulped and sun dried. It is a good pick when you enjoy a smooth cup with gentle fruit and sweetness rather than a heavy roast character.
Either bag is a useful way into single-origin coffee because the notes are distinct without being hard to place. Make the coffee in your usual brewer, drink the first cup as you normally would, and let the one you finish first guide the next bag.

For a brighter cup
Fruit, floral notes, and a little lift.
Ethiopia Natural is a medium-light roast from smallholder farmers in the Sidama zone. It brings milk chocolate, fruit, and caramel together, with a natural process and raised-bed drying that give the cup a livelier, more layered feel. Choose it when you like the idea of fruit in coffee but still want the cup anchored by sweetness.
Guatemala moves toward dark chocolate, bright fruit, and butterscotch. Grown by smallholder farmers in Antigua Guatemala, it is fully washed and sun dried. It has enough chocolate depth for someone who usually prefers a comforting cup, plus enough fruit to feel like a change of pace.
For a deeper cup
When you want the bass line to come through.
Peru is a medium roast with salted caramel, silky sweetness, and citrus. Sourced through Cooperativa Agricola de Servicisios Norandino in Piura and Amazonas, it is an inviting choice when you want something rounded and sweet with a little brightness around the edge.
Sumatra goes darker in feel, with medium acidity, a syrupy body, dark chocolate, dried fruit, earthiness, and a long finish. From Aceh and Takengon, it is wet-hulled in the Giling Basah style. This is the bag to choose when a fuller, more grounded cup sounds better than a bright and delicate one.
Keep exploring
One origin can lead to the next.
Once you know what you enjoy, choosing another origin gets easier. Like cocoa and a smooth finish? Try Brazil Santos, or keep exploring the coffees that lean toward chocolate. Prefer sweetness with fruit? Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, and Nicaragua each offer a different path. Want a fuller profile? Bali Blue, Honduras, and Sumatra bring more depth into the rotation.
The Single Origin Favorites Sample Pack gives you six 2-ounce packs from Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Honduras, and Tanzania. It is a practical option when choosing one full bag feels premature but you want enough coffee to understand where your taste is headed.
Choose with confidence
Follow the notes you want in the cup.
Choose Colombia or Costa Rica when: you want a balanced medium-roast first bag. Colombia brings orange, berry, and chocolate. Costa Rica leans toward apple, raisin, and honey.
Choose Ethiopia Natural or Guatemala when: you want more fruit in the mix. Ethiopia has milk chocolate, fruit, and caramel, while Guatemala pairs bright fruit with dark chocolate and butterscotch.
Choose Peru or Sumatra when: sweetness or depth is the deciding factor. Peru is silky with salted caramel and citrus. Sumatra is fuller and more grounded, with dark chocolate, dried fruit, and earthy notes.
Choose the grind and bag size that suit the brewer you already own. Whole bean gives you the most flexibility at home, espresso grind suits an espresso machine, and coarse fits French press or cold brew. The current product page for each coffee has the details for the options available now.
